Water supplies

/upload/centre/artek/billeder/3vand.jpg

Almost all of the water supply in Greenland consists of surface water from lakes and streams, a vulnerable source compared to underground water. One potentially exciting alternative would be to explore underground water under the permafrost. Surveying the thickness of the permafrost layer will, therefore, be an important part of the research conducted at the centre.
