Nordic Master in Cold Climate Engineering

The Nordic Master in Cold Climate Engineering is for graduate students who wish to specialize in engineering in cold regions.

The programme consists of three specialised study tracks, which focuses on various aspects of engineering in cold regions:

  • Land Track, which focuses on Arctic geoengineering
  • Sea Track, which focuses on Arctic ships and offshore structures
  • Space Track, which focuses on observing, surveying and mapping the earth's poles

The education has been developed in collaboration with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and Aalto University in Finland and is the first comprehensive master’s programme targeted at engineering in cold regions offered in Europe.

Candidates from the program are awarded a master's degree from both universities to which they are associated during the course of education; a so-called double degree.

The language of the education is English.
