Award to Arctic Engineer

Friday June 3 2016 the awarded of the annual engineering competition European Young Professional of the Year were selected in Sofia, Bulgaria. Among the winners was an arctic engineering.

Inooraq Brandt, B.Eng. in Arctic engineering has recieved a price for his work as consulting engineering in the competition European Young Professional of the Year 2016. The price was an acknowledment for his professional work in connection with the establishment of a new container port in Nuuk which is one of the largest construction works in Greenland ever. European Young Professional of the Year is awarded to talented consulting engineers under the age of 35, whose work represents a model for the new generation of young planners in Europe.

Inooraq graduated as B.Eng.  in Arctic Engineering from DTU in 2007 and has since 2012 been employed at Orbicon Greenland in Nuuk. He teaches regularly at the arctic engineering education in Sisimiut and is as such also contributing to shape the future engineers in the Arctic.
